Perfect for daytime
"The food was fantastic, very friendly service and everyone was happy with their choices. I've been back twice since then. I absolutely love Artichoke...the food always fabulous and fresh...they've got some really tasty cakes and great coffee. It's lovely to kick back and watch the day go by at Artichoke."
Our first visit
"The menu choice was excellent and had a few nice twists to differentiate it from the norm. As a vegetarian, I was so pleased to find that the chefs had actually thought of interesting and flavoursome food for vegetarians.
We each ordered a starter, main and dessert and cannot fault anything that was placed in front of us. The portion sizes were excellent and everything looked and tasted beautiful. The staff were attentive and friendly, and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Artichoke is now at the top of my favourite restaurant list - a great place!"

Choices
"We were greeted at the door and shown to a table almost immediately. We were given a menu and I have to say we all found it very hard to decide what to have as it had excellent choices to choose from. The drinks selection was just as good. The food was the best I and my family had tasted in a very long time. The service was outstanding too as the staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I think this place is a gem and we shall all be returning very soon."
Lovely Sunday lunch
"The building is fantastic, open kitchen and funky chairs which contrast against the traditional brick walls. The bar offers an excellent range of speciality beers and the cake selection (homemade and not just run of the mill) was fantastic. We both had a pork roast dinner with all the trimmings, followed by homemade jam roly poly with double cream custard and raspberry ripple ice cream and chocolate and honeycomb fudge cake. The food was so tasty and we will definitely visit again when in Chester."
